We thank and praise God for restoring back one of his children, Alfred Eugene Turner, from January 10th to January 28th, 2018 with the process of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ back into his life.
Alfred attended School #41 and then attended Crispus Attucks High School where he played on the basketball team. He was best known as a basketball player, where he received a scholarship to college. He was also a singer, a dancer, card player, enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, and a multi-tasker at a variety of many things.
He was employed at Chrysler as a fork lifter; worked at Yellow Freight as a truck driver; worked for Greyhound as a bus driver; worked for Tabs as a custodial worker, and did mechanical work at Johnsons Garage.
Alfred Eugene Turner departed from this life on January 28, 2018, at the age of 68 years of age at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Proceeded him in death was (RIH): Grandparents from Fathers side, Johnny and Julus Turner and Grandparents from Mothers side, Bishop Isaiah Gatewood and Pauline Watson-Williams. His Father, Howard Whittfield-Turner, Sr. His Stepfather, Zonitin Link. His Sisters, Ella Turner and Annette Turner. His Brother, Calvin Turner. His Children, Angela Marie Turner and Alfred Eugene Johnson. His Wife, Pandora Coe-Turner.
He leaves to mourn his passing: His Mother, Gazella Link. His Sisters, Ruby Brown, Betty K. Lee-Turner, and Mary E. Turner. His Brother, Howard Whittfield, Jr. The first Mother of his children, Sandra Riding and their Daughters, Valorie Williams-Turner (first born), Angela Marie Turner (RIH), and LaShawa Turner. The second Mother, Valerie Lee and their Daughter, Cherie Lee-Turner. The third Mother, Gwendolyn Peck and their Daughter, Tanya Justice. The forth Mother, Sharon Rose Johnson and their Son was Alfred Eugene Johnson (RIH). The fifth Mother, Dorothy Smith and their Son, Calvin Smith-Turner, Sr. The sixth Mother was Pandora Coe-Turner (RIH) and their Son, Tony Turner, Sr. and their Daughter, Anjela Turner. He also leaves a host of Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
A special tribute to: Sharon Rose Johnson-Owens, Cirrie Brown, Glen Stubbs, Anthony Johnson, and Stephen Paul-Owens III.
Viewing for Alfred will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00-12:00pm at Ellis Mortuary Chapel, 1503 Columbia Ave. There will be NO services, viewing only.
