Elder Armer McNeil McGee passed away November 27, at the tender age of 86 years, 9 months and 27 days. He was born in Cadiz, Kentucky to Shelly and Amanda (Greenwade) McGee. Armer was the 9th child of 11 siblings. He attended school in Cadiz and later graduated from Crispus Attucks High School, Indianapolis, IN. He attended Aenon Bible College and was later ordained at the P.A.W. Tennessee State Council as an Elder. He was a certified Chaplain for several hospitals in Indiana and Tennessee.
Armer was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1947 in the C.O.G.I.C. He was baptized in Jesus Name by the late Bishop Morris E. Golder on Northwestern Street. He then fellowshipped in at Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic Church under the pastorship of the late Bishop Owen Q. Young. He married Mary Ann Griffin in 1976 and together they have five children. They became members of Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church under the pastorship of the late Suffragan Bishop Joseph D. Farris. There they answered God’s call to start a work in Tennessee. Elder and Evangelist McGee founded and pastored Macedonia Apostolic Church in Dickson, TN. (1992-2000). Upon returning back to Indianapolis, due to health issues, they placed their membership at the Church of the Apostolic Faith, under the pastorship of Elder Charles Miller. He now, is a returned member of Bethel Tabernacle, now under the pastorship of District Elder Alfred Amos.
He retired from Methodist Hospital and was owner of McGee’s Christian Bookstore.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Evangelist Mary McGee, children: Dwight McGee, Alice Rosetia McGee, Rhonda Paige (Ronnie), Melvin Griffin (Lori) and Donnita Smith. He now has one sibling left, Kitty Smoot, one sister-in-law, Betty McGee and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be at 12:00pm, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 2002 Dr. Andrew J. Brown Ave, with visitation there from 10:00am until service time. Burial will take place at Washington Park North. Final arrangements entrusted to Ellis Mortuary. www.ellismortuary.com
