Mr. Jamontez Deondre’ Woods was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 23, 1993. He was born to Gayla Whitsey and Johnny Woods. Later in life Jamontez met his birth father Gerald Demario Eldridge who proceeded Jamontez in death.

Jamontez attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Warren Central High School. Jamontez gave his life to the Lord at a very young age and was baptized at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church. Montez recently became a member of New Beginnings Church.

The biggest heart is what Jamontez had and was loved by so many. Jamontez was a great cook and was recently employed at Community East Hospital as a chef.
Jamontez was a soon-to-be dad to Baby Jai’lee with his companion Daishai Luster. As many  know, Montez had a love for children. He spoiled all of his nieces and nephews. Montez was excited about having his own child. When he found out he was going to be a father,  he said, “It was about that time”.

Jamontez departed this life on November 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald “Demario” Eldridge, grandparents Jocelyn Bradley, Barbara Golder, Laura Woods, Johnny Woods, Sr. and step grandmother Shannon Bradley.

Jamontez is survived by his mother Gayla Denise Whitsey, Johnny Woods, his step-father Rodney Batts,Sr., stepmothers Hadessa and Latasha.
His brothers Rodney Batts, Jr, Javontai, Jailyn, Tristen and John Woods, Gerald Jr. and Joryl Eldridge and his sisters Ginayla Crosby, Keiyala Woodson, Anisha, Ahpree, Meonda and Na’Talya Eldridge. Step-brothers and step-sisters Lashauntia, Lydia, Lyric  and Victor.
Grandparents Ransome Bradley, James Whitsey (Carolyn), Gerald Eldridge , Debra Whitfield (Lonnie).

Celebration Services will be on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00am at New Beginnings Fellowship Church with visitation there from 9:00am until service time. Burial will take place at New Crown Cemetery. Final arrangements entrusted to Ellis Mortuary. www.ellismortuary.com
